Our Cooking Sauces are a convenient (just heat & serve), cost-effective, and simple restaurant solution that save prep time and can be easily prepared in less than 30 minutes. One only needs to simply add meat, chicken, seafood, or vegetables to the sauce, effectively reducing cooking errors. Sauces have known (fixed) costs, provide consistency in final menu items, and are available in a variety of flavours and heat levels representing the distinctive regional cuisines of India.

Curry Pastes

Cooking Pastes are for chefs who prefer more authentic, from “scratch” dishes, but don’t want to grind and blend their own spice blend. Pastes are incredibly versatile, where adding more or less paste effects the richness and spiciness of the dish. Chefs can add water, cream, stock, coconut milk, or yogurt to make the paste to their liking, and use it many ways including for marinades, coatings, and rubs. Pastes offer a great yield as only a small amount is needed to create delicious tasting authentic curries.

Chutney

Similar to fruit salsas, chutneys are a special blend of fruit cooked in sugars and spices that can range from mild to hot. They’re an exotic, low-fat addition to your plate, where just adding a spoonful livens any meal. Chutneys can be served alongside snacks like samosas, pappadums, or tortilla chips, and are a perfect topping for grilled meats or added to wraps and sandwiches for a delicious twist.

Pickles

Indian pickles (also known as relishes) are similar to chutneys, except that they are savoury where chutneys are sweet. Indian pickles are used as a savoury accompaniment to Indian meals and are a combination of fruits and/or vegetables, spices, sugar, and vinegar. They’re an essential part of Indian meals and are best served with other dishes such as salads, cold meats, pizzas, and sandwiches as well as being used in marinades, coatings, and rubs.

Pappadums

Pappadums are a gluten-free Indian flatbread made from lentil flour and are best enjoyed with a selection of chutneys and pickles. Plain or spiced pappadums enhance any Indian meal and are also great on their own as a snack or appetizer with great plate coverage. Traditionally deep-fried in vegetable oil, pappadums can also be prepared in a toaster oven or microwave.
